Blue tits leave nestbox

On friday 28th May three young bluetits successfully launched themselves from the nestbox outside our bedroom window.  The same thing occurred last year on 27th May.

I was at work when they fledged but Jackie said one of them flew straight to a nearby holly bush but then hovered in front of it for a moment, as if wondering how to land.  Luckily instinct cut in and a moment later it was proudly perching in the bush.

Once all three youngsters were in the holly the parents led them up into a bigger tree , and we have not seen them all since, though the adults still feed from a fatball holder hanging from our bird table.
