Garden birdlife at Harpford

There were three feeders on a tree in the garden at Podburys, and Pam decided to replenish them all week.  Which gave us all chance to see adult great tits and their young, and a greater spotted woodpecker, a nuthatch (always upside down on the feeder) and more.

Steve got this picture of our visiting woodpecker - I was never there with camera when it called.

Meanwhile, in the thatched porch of the house we found the mossy nest of a wren we had watched over several days.  Eventually we took it in turns to take pictures of the gaping young (up to six we decided).

Clearly one gaping mouth. The adult(s) spent all daylight hours foraging and feeding their several offspring.
