Wednesday – the hot, sunny one.

Jackie and I caught a bus to Otterton and walked a mile and a bit to the sea at Ladram Bay where I was keen to see the sea stacks and we both planned to get out our drawing/painting gear.

It was really too hot to sit in the sun and paint for long, but we kept ourselves amused for an hour or so, then went in search of lunch.   Back at the cottage took a turn round the garden about 10pm and was delighted to see bats flying fast between the trees.
