A decade in paint

From the summer of 2003 to spring 2013 I was a house painter.  Most of my work was very local, and , having nothing else to do in my retirement, I thought I’d create a map of houses worked on in the Round Hill area.  And here it is.

Houses decorated (at least in part) by me in my second career as housepainter.

The map is about 700 metres left (west) to right (east) and the homes I have worked on are marked in orange.  Round Hill Conservation Area is delineated with a dark line, and occupies the NW part of the map.  My house is just outside the area on the south, the slightly more southerly of the two shown there.  The housing is nearly all small, Victorian and terraced, with just a few larger houses built a little earlier.

Typically I’d tackle between five and ten a year – five if they were big outside jobs, nearer ten if they were predominantly smaller, often indoor jobs.
