Christmas cards, designers and cheap alternatives

Fred was talking about the way competitions can be used to avoid paying for a designer – I think his point of reference was a brochure cover design for next year’s Brighton Festival, or fringe, or something.

However the same observation could be applied to a Christmas card I have just received on behalf of the Round Hill Society from Caroline Lucas MP of the Green Party.

OK, its topical and local - it was a smart move, kid, to include the Pavilion skating rink reference.

Some kid gets his work displayed across the city, when they could have had my linocut Seasonal Recycling Logo for just a hundred quid or so.

But doesn't this say have a Green Christmas so much better??
