Cissbury Ring – A muddy day’s walk

Steve and I went out to Worthing for beer and walk last Friday – a bright sunny and cold day.  Just a few hundred metres from Worthing main station is Brooksteed, a micropub I’d not tried ’til this day.

Had just 2 halves because the walk was still to be done – XT3 (a US style Pale Ale) and 8 Sail Windy Miller stout.

Then we set out north and uphill for Cissbury Ring, a mid-Iron Age hillfort of 50 acres and more, surrounded by ditch and embankment.  Bracing but muddy walk and good views when we got there.
