Three hours on the allotment

We are going away soon so are trying to get the allotment in a state to remain tidy until we return.  Jackie was keen that we harvest at least some of the Broad Beans.

Brought home 1.2 kilos of podded beans, some for dinner, and the rest frozen.

Meanwhile I planted young leeks, too small really, but its now or never for the tray-full.  Then earthing up five rows of potatoes, planting out 8 squash plants – 4 courgettes, 2 pumpkins and 2 butternut squash types, surrounded by a sea of dwarf beans.  Watered everything and came home.
