We stopped for a leg stretch and coffee in the town of Chemainus. It is known for its street murals depicting the logging history of the area.

After felling and train hauling to a river or inlet, the logs were tipped into the water where guys would pull them into huge rafts, using big staples at each end to rope them together.
We went into a gallery and the first thing I saw was a wall full of the humorous paintings  of a couple and their dog by Brighton resident Sam Toft.  Perhaps she is Canadian?
